Foster Farms Big Cluck Grill-Off

Is the secret in the spices, the sauce or the smoke? Foster Farms is giving amateur backyard grillers the chance to “strut their stuff” during the Foster Farms Big Cluck Grill-Off, scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Grant County Fair.

All amateur backyard chefs are invited to sign-up to compete in this year’s contest by completing the Foster Farms Big Cluck Grill-Off Entry Form and faxing to the Oregon State Fair at (503) 947 – 3206. Don’t delay – Entry Deadline is August 6th .

This year’s competition has been designed to be the best yet. There is a full day of excitement in store as local grill masters compete for prizes and the title of “BBQ Guru.”

First Place – Traeger Lil Tex Wood Pellet Grill valued at more then $700.

Second Place – Kershaw Knife Set valued at more then $250.

Third Place – Grill accessory set valued at more then $75.

Each contestant will be required to bring their own grill to prepare delicious Foster Farms Chicken.

The Big Cluck Grill Off is limited to six grilling teams per county. They will test their skills and vie for the opportunity to represent their county at the3rd Annual Foster Farms Big Cluck Grill Off to be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Oregon State Fair.

Contest finalists will be contacted by the Oregon State Fair. Participants must be an Oregon resident over the age of 18 and love grilling Oregon grown chicken. For complete contest rules please contact the Grant County Fair Office at (541) 575-1900.
