Students of Grant Union Junior-Senior High School held an assembly on Tuesday with a program to honor local veterans. Art Pereira, president of the American Legion Ellis Tracy Post 77, and John Moore presented flags, and the Grant Union choir sang the national anthem. Freshman Tanner Elliott read a brief history of Veterans Day and senior Meisha Meyerholz sang “God Bless America.” Students also gave handmade thank-you cards to the visiting veterans.
