Letter: Still good people out there

To the editor:
One recent night, I did one of the dumbest things ever. While loading groceries, I dropped my wallet in Chester’s parking lot. My wallet contained over $500 cash, my ID and bank cards. I didn’t notice it missing till early the next morning, getting into my car to go to work.
In this day and age, my mind raced about someone stealing my identity and shredding it to pieces in the span of 12 hours, with all the contents in that wallet. I was ill to say the least.
I called Chester’s with dim hope someone may have picked it up. Much to my relief and amazement, someone turned it in to the store, AND when I picked it up, all the cash, ID and cards were undisturbed and accounted for!
That wonderful person (whoever you are) showed true honesty in doing the right thing. It’s comforting to know there are still good people like that in this crazy world.
