JOHN DAY One of two new medical helicopters put into service by Air St. Lukes in Boise, Idaho, paid a visit to Blue Mountain Hospital in John Day Wednesday, Aug. 31, as part of a tour to rural hospitals throughout Eastern Oregon, northern Nevada, southern and central Idaho. The Bell 429 helicopters, which will be based out of Meridian and Twin Falls, have such features as terrain-recognizing software, twin engines for faster response time and a cabin designed specifically for medical transport.
