JOHN DAY – Customers are already giving positive reports on the convenient west highway location of a new feed and farm store in John Day.

Pioneer Feed and Farm Supply opened July 1. Owners Dean Fox and Shelli Brooks offer a wide variety of animal feed and supplies to serve the needs of both large farm animals and small household pets.

Customers will find many products such as equine and livestock grooming equipment and supplies, block salt either by the block or ton, and livestock health and care supplies. The store carries Grainland Select and Albers brands of feed, Honor show feed, as well as the Cactus Ropes brand of supplies and equipment.

Pet food is available too, in brands including Diamond, Exclusive, Red Flannel and Chicken Soup, as well as other items for dogs and cats.

Newcomers but not strangers to the area, the couple are also experienced with the farm and ranch business; Fox himself has spent many years throughout his life working with ranchers throughout Eastern Oregon.

Pioneer Feed and Farm Supply is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday. It’s located at 831 W. Highway 26 and can be reached at 575-0023.
