Prospectors pound Pirates

 JOHN DAY – The Prospector football team played hard and brought down the Riverside Pirates 47-12.

The Oct. 7 contest was Grant Union’s first league game and first win on the season.

“We’ve finally started using our weapons,” said head coach Jason Miller, noting that they were able to stop their opponent’s offense, keeping them off balance.

“They battled it, and I’m really proud of them.”
