JOHN DAY – The Oregon Department of Transportation will hold a meeting to gather public input on the state’s transportation safety action plan.

The session will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Department of Human Services office, 725 W. Main St.

The plan, last updated in 2010, sets goals, strategies and plans for safety challenges and opportunities in the state. Meetings are being held across the state to look at the process, transportation safety data, and local issues. The current plan can be viewed on the ODOT website.
