CANYON CITY – The First Sunday of Advent will be celebrated at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 139 S. Washington Street in Canyon City 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 30.

The Rev. Jack Viggers will officiate at the lighting of the first candle of the Advent wreath. He will also celebrate Holy Communion and Holy Baptism. Spanish will be spoken during part of the service.

To welcome the newly baptized, a traditional reception will be held in St. Thomas Parish House, just south of the church. Guests are always welcome.
