The expressive arts, one of six project areas for 4-H, include drawing and painting, cast ceramics, fiber arts, leather craft, photography, communication, cultural and performing arts.

Projects aim to help 4-H members explore and develop their artistic awareness, creative potential, and appreciation of art and the artistic process. Participants can do projects in painting, weaving, needlepoint, videos, quilting and other skills that are part of 4-H’s statewide program. In addition, county programs may be developed in areas including public speaking, journalism, cake decorating, music appreciation, clowning, puppetry, music and more.

Youth or volunteers who would like to be leaders can contact the OSU Extension office, 575-1911.
