Alaska Airlines flight makes emergency landing

Klamath Falls, Ore. — An Alaska Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing in Klamath Falls Friday morning.

A 737 Seattle-bound flight from Burbank, California with 158 passengers on board made a safe landing at Kingsley Field.

A passenger says he knew something was wrong when a stewardess asked him a question “She says, did I see any oil coming out of the engine. Well, it was leaking oil and they had to shut down the engine and we had to make an emergency stop here in Klamath Falls.” said Richard Tellez.

A replacement aircraft was flown in shortly before noon and the passengers were able to continue on their way.
