JOHN DAY – First Baptist Church members have planned a few activities in the coming weeks: children’s crafts and the dedication of a stained glass window.

Children can learn the skills of pioneers at two “Pioneer Sundays.” On Feb. 2, children will sew a country pillow, and Feb. 9, build a wooden toolbox. Times for both are 10 a.m.-noon.

RSVP by calling the church at 541-575-1355, so that enough materials can be ready for the number of children. All skills learned will be Bible-related.

The church also welcomes the community to the dedication of a stained glass window on Feb. 9. A guest pastor will speak at 10 a.m., followed by the dedication at 11 a.m. A snack reception will follow.

First Baptist Church is at 300 W. Main St.
