PENDLETON – Terry A. Zacharias, 60, died Aug. 9 at this Pendleton home.

Mr. Zacharias was born March 29, 1954, the youngest of nine children, to George and May (Charleton) Zacharias. He was raised in Pilot Rock until his teen years.

He lived in many places throughout his life, but always referred to the John Day area as his home.

He was a hard-working and strong husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who made a strong, lasting impression on many lives.

His passions were his family, muscle cars, hunting, fishing, driving log truck, and faith and love for God.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sherry Zacharias; sons, Brian and Josh Zacharias; daughter, Diana Zacharias; grandchildren, Kaleb, Erin, Jenna, Jordan, Noelle, Brooklyn, Richard, Marcus and Cody.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George, Lloyd, Albert and Henry; and sister, Emily.
