A celebration of life for Jean Davis Cain, 70, who died June 7 in Burns, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Harney County Fairgrounds. A potluck lunch will follow.

Mrs. Cain was known for her community service throughout the late 1980s and into the 1990s.

She was a member of the Strategic Alliance for Southeastern Oregon, which included Grant, Harney and Malheur counties.

She followed her dreams of growing food for the community at Garden Gate Nursery in Burns and at GeoGardens in Crane. She enjoyed working at the Diamond Hotel in later years, and was a caregiver too.
