Bank of Eastern Oregon has announced the licensing of EverFi online, an interactive financial literacy educational program for high school students in the local area.

The bank offers the program at no cost next school year to 21 high schools in communities across its Eastern Oregon territory including Long Creek, Monument, Dayville, John Day, and Prairie City.

Weve found the EverFi program to be an excellent way to supplement the teaching of financial literacy skills to high school students and decided to make an additional investment in the education of students in our rural communities beyond our current programs, said Jeff Bailey, bank president and CEO.

EverFi helps students meet the Department of Educations lifeskills objectives and in a fun and engaging way, according to Mike Fee, EverFi Western Region vice president.
