PILOT ROCK – John E. Morgan Sr., 57, of Pilot Rock, died Feb. 16, 2010. Inurnment will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Long Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Morgan was born Dec. 10, 1952, in Willits, Calif., to James and Olive (Criger) Morgan. He graduated from Long Creek High School.

He married Linda Maley in Seattle.

He was employed as the log yard manager at Blue Mountain Lumber for 38 years.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Morgan of Pilot Rock; son, John Morgan Jr. of Hermiston; mother, Olive Morgan of La Grande; brother, Harvey Morgan of Summerville; sisters, Melody McKinley of Prairie City and Cathy Wernlund of La Grande; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Morgan and sister, Sonja Johns.
