CANYON CITY – The Grant County 4-H Small Bore and Pistol Contest was held Saturday, Aug. 14, at the home of Dennis and Julie Reynolds in Canyon City. Dennis Reynolds and Jim Spell served as judges. Clerks were Cindy Dougharity, Beth Spell and Linda Brown.

The 4-H youth participating in the Small Bore and/or Pistol Contest were: Garrett and Jordon Hitz, Railey Namitz, Jordan Griffith, Tanner and Tyler Moodenbaugh, Ely and Garrett Carniglia, Dakota Emerson, Kolton and Hadley Boethin, Matthew and Logan Cloyd, Trevor Brown, Soren Larson, Samantha Brock, Sam Bentz, Ty McDaniel, LJ Burke, Rebecca Batease, Reitta Wyllie, and Jake Reynolds.

Senior Small Bore Champion was Jake Reynolds and Senior Reserve Champion was Tyler Moodenbaugh. Intermediate Small Bore Champion was Matthew Cloyd and Intermediate Reserve Champion was Kolton Boethin. Junior Small Bore Champion was Samantha Brock and Junior Reserve Pistol Champ was Ty McDaniel. Senior Pistol Champion was Jake Reynolds. Intermediate Pistol Champion was Soren Larson, and Intermediate Reserve Champion was Trevor Brown. Junior Pistol Champion was Logan Cloyd, and Reserve Champion was LJ Burke.
