ENTERPRISE – The sixth annual Sunrise Iron Tractor Show will provide a weekend of agricultural heritage events Aug. 1-3 near Enterprise.

Many pioneer families’ descendants still work and live on farms and ranches that are set in valleys with a spectacular backdrop of the rugged terrain of the Wallowa Mountains. And Erl McLaughlin, a wheat and barley farmer, has an “exquisite collection” of tractors and farm implements – restored historical agricultural equipment. The collection includes approximately 30 tractors and more than 40 horse-drawn farming implements of all types, dating from the mid- to late-1980s. He specializes in steel-wheeled, hand-cranked tractors that date back to 1915-38.

The Sunrise Iron Tractor Show can be seen at 65708 Sunrise Road. Other activities included in the area are a self-guided historical barn tour of the Wallowa Valley and slide presentation, Hurricane Creek Grange Hall open house and the Enterprise Country Market, an outdoor market featuring arts, crafts, produce and food.
