COVID testing, vaccines, and flu shots planned next week amid omicron surge

JOHN DAY — As health officials continue to identify COVID-19 cases in Grant County, the county’s health department will partner with the Oregon Health Authority and the Central Oregon Disability Network to offer free flu shots, COVID-19 testing and COVID-19 immunizations.

Those interested in the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson immunizations must be over 18, while Pfizer shots are available to anyone over the age of 5.

The services will be available on the following dates at the following locations:

• Monday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grant County Fairgrounds, 411 N.W. Bridge St. in John Day. 

• Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the Monument Senior Center, 269 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Dayville Community Church, 204 South Fork Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Long Creek Community Center, 269 Hardisty St., from 10 to 2 p.m. 

• Friday, Jan. 21, at the Grant County Fairgrounds, 2 to 6 p.m.

• Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Grant County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
