Evacuation levels lowered in parts of Grant County

MONUMENT — Evacuation levels continue to drop in Grant County around the Battle Mountain Complex and Courtrock fires, the Grant Count Emergency management Office announced on Monday, Aug. 5.

Everything north of Courtrock Road and Lost Hubcap Road to include the city of Monument is being downgraded from a Level 2 “be set” to a Level 1 “be ready.”

Areas from west of Highway 395 from the community of Fox to Fox Round Basin Road and south to Justice Ranch Lane is also being downgraded from a Level 2 “be set” to a Level 1 “be ready.”
