Improved weather leads to evacuation notice reductions

DAYVILLE — Improved weather conditions coupled with rainfall have led to a downgrade in evacuation zones on the Rail Ridge Fire according to a Sept. 12 press release by Grant County Emergency Management.
The Level 3 zone that is East of the South Fork, South of FS Rd 24 and North of FS Rd 6370 has been downgraded to Level 2 “Be Set.” The Level 2 zone North of the intersection of Izee-Paulina Hwy (County Road 63) and the Izee-Burns Rd (County Rd 67) has been downgraded to Level 1 “Be Ready.”
The Izee-Paulina Hwy is now open to normal traffic while County roads North of the Izee Paulina Hwy remain closed.
